We're a small, independent review site focused on one niche: AI companion platforms. That's the whole beat — AI girlfriend apps, companion chatbots, and the image, voice, and memory technology behind them. We're not owned by any platform we cover, and no platform gets to read, edit, or approve anything before it's published.
This site currently centers on HeyGF AI because it's the platform we've spent the most hands-on time with, but our alternatives guide covers eight competitors, and we test those too.
How we test
Every claim on this site comes from actually using the product — real accounts, paid for out of our own pocket, used daily over weeks rather than a one-hour demo. For our main HeyGF AI review that meant 30 days of daily chatting, requesting photos and videos at their real coin costs, making live voice calls, and deliberately probing the memory system by referencing details from weeks earlier.
When we quote a number — a price, a coin cost, a message limit — it's one we verified ourselves at the time of writing. Our scores (like the 4.8/5 overall) are applied consistently across every page: the same rubric on the pricing breakdown as on the safety guide. When something disappoints us — thin privacy documentation, a coin economy that punishes heavy media use — we say so in the review, not in a footnote.
